The Location: King Parrot Retreat, The Otways

Set on a 200 acre bush property bordering the Great Otway national forest, our holistic retreat offers a sanctuary of towering gum trees, waterfalls, rolling hills and valley and relaxing pool. You’ll be immersed in a serene environment that invites deep relaxation and nature connection, far from the noise of modern life. The cottage accomodations have a mixture of private and shared rooms with ensuite and an off-grid camp ground.

 

There's many communal areas including creative space, indoor meditation hall, dining room, campfire, outdoor dining and secluded nature trails. Spend three night and four days with three experienced nature-based facilitators with coaching and counselling backgrounds spanning 35 plus years. All meals and full retreat schedule included. as well as optional massage, sauna and ice bath ad ons. Experience a unique wellness retreat with us in the beautiful Otways.

2025 Wildhaven Nature-Based Mindfulness Retreat Dates:

The retreat officially starts Friday 24/10/2025 @ 5pm. Guests are welcome to arrive from 2pm - Finishes Monday 27/10/2025 leave location @ 1pm after lunch.

Schedule:
Day 1: Rooting – Arriving in Presence -Arrival starts from 2pm, eveing program starts at 5pm and dinner at 6pm. 

Day 2: Releasing & Awakening the Senses – Day and evening program – extended hours.
Day 3: Expanding – Soul Exploration & Visioning – Day and evening program – extended hours.

Day 4: Integrating – Embodying & Returning– Day program, ends with lunch and leave by 1pm. Optional ocean swim afterwards.

* Optional online follow up sessions to support on-going connection of our community and reintegration. Dates TBA

Your Accomodation

At Wildhaven Holistic Retreat, guests will stay in the uniquely beautiful rooms of King Parrot Cottages, spread across several charming houses. Each space is thoughtfully designed using locally sourced brick and wood, originally harvested from the property and handcrafted by its original owner, creating a warm, inviting, and naturally harmonious atmosphere.

Each room is fully equipped with its own private amenities, including a bathroom, kitchen, and living area, as well as a cozy wood fire heater, a fridge, and local tea and coffee provisions to ensure a comfortable stay. Guests can also enjoy a secluded outdoor nook, perfect for moments of quiet reflection.

 

The main lodge serves as the heart of the retreat, with a welcoming dining room and lounge always open with nourishing food, and with views across the sweeping valley and fostering mindful connection and a sense of community living throughout your stay.

Marion Miller Holistic Retreats Victoria

Marion Miller - Lead Facilitator

Marion Miller, a Tasmanian-born woman with German and Victorian farming heritage, was introduced to meditation at age 20 by her late mother. Deeply connected to nature, she has long been a seeker inspired by its beauty and troubled by its degradation. Marion holds a Bachelor of Counselling (Coaching) from ACAP, a Diploma in Coaching, and mindfulness certifications. She has extensive Vipassana retreat experience and has begun Dharma teacher training with senior Insight teachers in Australia. An environmentalist and artist, Marion engages in local climate action and Ecotherapy practitioner PD while exploring eco-feminism through painting and sculpture in her Glen Iris studio. At home, she and her husband embrace sustainable living, raising four teenagers and aspiring to establish an eco retreat for regenerative leadership and land care.

Arian Young - Lead Facilitator

Arian Young, an Asian-Australian first-generation Naarm settler of Toi San and Sun Wui heritage, has spent 65 years navigating a rich and evolving life shaped by curiosity and resilience. A former Tibetan Buddhist nun, with over 25 years in Oriental healing arts, counselling, and meditation training. Following the death of her last parent, a surprising DNA discovery ignited a transformative journey of grief and self-reclamation, honoring her ancestors while embracing life’s impermanence. Arian’s teachers include prominent Buddhist and mindfulness practitioners, and she is currently performing in WAKE, a theatre piece by The Rabble exploring women and aging. Driven by her commitment to the planet, she is studying Sustainable Living at the University of Tasmania while cultivating food and caring for Country on unceded Bunurong and Woiwurrung lands in the Dandenong Ranges/Yarra Valley.

Jeff Wilde - Facilitator

Jeff Wilde is a passionate practitioner of Deep Nature Connection and Ecopsychology, striving to restore Soul to psychology and Nature to society, enabling humans to reclaim authenticity and wholeness within Earth’s web of life. With Master’s degrees in Environment & Sustainability and Community Education, and 20 years of teaching experience, Jeff is trained in Forest & Nature Therapy, Deep Ecology, and Permaculture. His work spans environmental education, sustainability advocacy, community development, permaculture gardening, and mental health. As a facilitator and advocate, he fosters social connection and meaningful Nature-based activities, while his role with the Victorian National Parks Association’s Nature Stewards program connects people to their local ecological communities through citizen science and land care. Jeff champions wild places and creatures, exploring how wonder, awe, and imagination expand consciousness, deepen self-discovery, and nurture reciprocal relationships with the Natural World.

Bookings and Registration Terms and Conditions
We need your completed registration form and full payment to secure your booking. Early registration and payment is suggested as places are limited. If you need to cancel your ticket, a full refund will be offered up to 1 month before the retreat. If the cancellation is less than 3 weeks before the retreat, you will receive a 50% refund. If the cancellation is less than 1 week before the retreat, you will receive a 30% refund. 
If you are feeling unwell and have any flu/cold or COVID like symptoms, please do a RAT test 48 hours prior to the retreat. If you do test positive or you are still feeling unwell, you will receive a 50% refund.
