Explore the intrinsic link between nature, creativity, courage and spirituality as you embark on mindful discoveries and learning to reconnect more deeply to nature and collective wellbeing. Unplug from technology, join a nature connection workshop and enliven your mind body as you find harmony in nature and community.

So much of our lives is perpetually fixated on screens in human-centric places, that keep us feeling isolated, many of us are feeling increasingly dull and disconnected from ourself, community and nature. Our workshops help you rediscover how nature is a self correcting and healing environment in balance with all of life. Learn practices that can help embody a deeper connection to nature rhythms and enhance and support healthy, sustainable living and leadership in your home, workplace and community.

Join Arian Young and Marion Miller, qualified and experienced mindfulness teachers, nature therapist, east and west wisdom teachers and artists as they guide this daylong earth circle retreat in Emerald. Rediscover a profound sense of belonging in nature and community, inspiring creative expression, meaning making and initiating a life-sustaining journey of active hope.

Engage in the collective endeavour of slowing down, allowing us to connect more deeply with ourselves, each other, and the places we inhabit. Over the workshop series, explore the stories from your past that have shaped you and consider how the present is influencing your future self. Learn to craft meaning, cultivate deeper roots, practice grief ritual and find genuine belonging in community and nature.

Themes we will explore in the Nature Connection Retreat:

  1. Slowing Down: Let down your stress response and let go of threat, embrace the present moment, savouring the sights, sounds, and sensations of the natural environment.

  2. Tuning In: Be free of digital distractions and orient attention toward a softening mind body and the qualities of kindness, generosity, curiosity, compassion and creativity. Resource your ability to feel good and being in a positive mood.

  3. Deep Listening: Nature has a language of its own, and our day retreat teaches you the art of deep listening. By attuning your senses to the subtle sounds of nature, you'll discover the wisdom that nature has to offer.

  4. Sit Spots: Find a serene spot amidst the beauty of nature and make it your sit spot. This dedicated space allows you to practice connection with the land intimately, fostering a sense of belonging and harmony with the natural world.

  5. Walking Meditation: Engage in a guided mindful walk, where each step becomes a connection to the present moment and to life. Through mindful walking, you'll experience a profound sense of grounding and unity with the earth and all creatures that inhabit it along the way.

  6. Journaling: Writing can be a powerful tool for self-reflection and self-discovery. Our workshops incorporate journaling, providing you with an opportunity to express your thoughts, feelings, and insights in writing as a nature-based reflective practice.

  7. Community Conversation: Engage in meaningful and thought-provoking conversations with fellow participants. Share your experiences, thoughts, and revelations as you collectively explore and express the wisdom of nature and the climate change challenges of our time.

  8. Creative Practice: Excite your creative impulse and imagination through eco art making and reconnect with nature play and community. Explore creative practice such eco art, drawing, theatre and crafting with natural found objects.

  9. Environmental Wellbeing: Our workshops aim to nurture not only personal wellbeing but the wellbeing of the earth. Learn about topics like sustainable living, eco-conscious, grief and how health choices and environmental impact are interconnected.

  10. Cultural Narrative and Climate Change: Explore the intersection of culture and climate change and delve into the stories that shape our humanity. Together, we reflect deeply across deep time on how cultural beliefs and story influence our relationship with nature both historically, spiritually and ecologically.

Day Retreat

"The Eco Retreat with Marion and Arian was an incredibly beautiful and transformative way to invest in self-care. In a gorgeous garden with inclusive like-minded women, we spent the day in growth and reflection. The day's pace and activities were wonderful, lunch was the perfect nourishing interlude and the mandala making in the afternoon was a fabulous way to round out the day. I left feeling fulfilled, inspired and changed and I cannot wait to do it again! Thank you so much ladies, I didn't know how much I needed to voice some of those feelings xo"
