Are you seeking a profound connection to the natural world and a deeper understanding of your own place within it? Are you yearning for mindfulness, self-discovery, and a sense of belonging that resonates with your soul? If so, our three-part course is your gateway to a life-changing journey!

Workshop 1: Awakening Your Senses to Nature – Cultivating Mindful Wonder

Description: Begin your journey by immersing yourself in the serenity and vitality of nature’s blue and green spaces. This workshop focuses on grounding in the present moment, expanding sensory awareness, and embracing an ecological perspective through the Four Foundations of Mindfulness. Shift from habitual, human-centered thinking to instinctive, imaginative, and sensory ways of experiencing nature. Learn how to establish a personal sit spot in nature to nurture a mindfulness practice that fosters an intentional connection to place and proactively resources mental wellbeing.

Workshop 2: Our Inner and Outer Nature – Embodying the Connection of Mind, Body, Heart, and Ecosystem

Description: Dive into the interplay between mind, body, and nature by exploring how our thoughts, emotions, and physical presence shape our experience and connection with the environment. Move beyond a human-centric worldview and embrace an eco-centric approach, recognising ourselves as part of the natural web of life. Through somatic and reflective exercises, discover how our evolutionary history as gatherer-hunters informs our responses, and learn to pause, breathe, and reconnect to rest and digest. Embody a gentle, present attention that fosters an interconnected state with nature, tapping into feelings of safety, balance, and sensory calm.

Workshop 3: Unearthing Your Creative Self – Stories, Ancestry, and Visions of Deep Time

Description: Reconnect with your roots, family stories, and cultural origins to explore who you are and where you came from. This workshop invites you to creatively map your journey to ancestral lands and draw insights from the deep, dynamic relationship between your past, present and future. Reflect on the natural elements that influence your sense of identity and purpose, and engage in a nature ritual to honour these connections. Sharing your story within a supportive community allows you to embrace your unique heritage and vision for the future while cultivating a sense of creativity and belonging that transcends time.

Workshop 4: Rooted in Belonging – Caring for The Earth and Protecting What We Love

Description: Deepen your commitment to place by exploring the local landscape through the lens of history, geography, and community stewardship. Learn about the local Indigenous people and the history embedded in the land, reflecting on the ways we are called to protect and care for the natural world. This workshop creates a safe container for expressing grief, loss, and climate anxiety while transforming these feelings into meaningful and wise action. Discover ways to contribute to sustainability efforts, join local nature communities, and cultivate rituals of care and plant seeds that align with a lighter, more sustainable lifestyle.

This beautiful, bounteous, life-giving planet we call Earth has given birth to each one of us, and each one of us carries the Earth within every cell of our body ~ Thich Nhat Hanh.
