Inside this repurposed timber barn in the heart of Boonah, we’ve creating a new home for the handmade. The Art Barn will be a multi-disciplinary workshop studio for painting, sculpture, textiles, and printmaking. It’s a space designed for the long, slow work of creation—where the misty air of the Otways and the warmth of the reclaimed wood invite you to linger, experiment, and make.

Please be patient while we work on adding windows to let the light pour in, electricity and flooring. We're aiming to establish a light-filled area for the messy, fluid work of ink and pigment, where the aged timber walls catch the afternoon sun. A quieter, softer corner of the barn dedicated to fiber, weaving, and the intricate work of fabric. A solid, grounded space for working in three dimensions, allowing for the scale and physical presence that sculptural work demands.

We are interested in recycling objects and using earth-based materials to breathe new life into design and creation with a social and environmental message. Our hope is to bring an ecological approach to arts, transforming old objects and creating new ones. We aim to open KNDRD collective, a gallery space within the studio and curate exhibitions twice yearly with some of the beautiful pieces created by the community in the art barn.
